Istanbul Film Festival cocktail at the 64th Berlin International Film Festival

The Istanbul Film Festival, threw a cocktail reception at the 64th Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale) on Saturday, 8 February at Akademie der Künste. At the cocktail held with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Turkish Cinema, the fourth edition of the Turkish-German Co-production Development Fund within the scope of Meetings on the Bridge (MoB), which has supported 22 co-productions since its inception, and the presentation of five films from Turkey at the 64th Berlinale were announced.

Members of the press, filmmakers, producers, actors, actresses, and film professionals attended the cocktail reception hosted by Azize Tan, Director of the Istanbul Film Festival, Kerem Ayan, Assistant Director of the Istanbul Film Festival, Gülin Üstün, Head of Meetings on the Bridge and Görgün Taner, General Director of İKSV. Among the guests of the reception were Melisa Önel, the director, Timuçin Esen, the actor and Erdem Helvacıoğlu, the composer of Kumun Tadı/Seaburner (Berlinale FORUM); Kutluğ Ataman, the director of Kuzu/The Lamb (Berlinale PANORAMA SPECIAL); Zeynep Dadak and Merve Kayan, the directors, Ayris Alptekin, Begüm Akkaya, Onur Saylak, the actors and Kim Ki O, the composer of Mavi Dalga/The Blue Wave (Berlinale GENERATION), and Emre Yeksan, the producer of Sesime Gel/Were Dengê Min/Come to My Voice (Berlinale GENERATION) directed by Hüseyin Karabey; and Hasan Serin, the director and Armağan Lale, the producer of Ağrı ve Dağ/Ağrı and the Mountain.

Nihat Gül, Deputy Undersecretary of Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, İbrahim Sarıtaş, Advisor of the Minister, Hüseyin Avni Karslıoğlu, the Ambassador of Turkey to Germany, Gözde Şahin, Undersecretary of Culture, film critic Esin Küçüktepepınar, Advisory Board Member of the Istanbul Film Festival, Ahmet Boyacıoğlu, Ankara Cinema Association Chairman and the organiser of  the Turkish Pavillion at the Berlinale, director Semih Kaplanoğlu, who won the Golden Bear Award with his film Bal/Honey at the 60th Berlinale, directors Yeşim Ustaoğlu, Özcan Alper, Aslı Özge, Lusin Dink and producers Zeynep Özbatur, Emine Yıldırım, Enis Köstepen attended to the cocktail reception. Roberto Olla, Eurimages General Secretary, Klaus Eder, FIPRESCI General Secretary, and representatives of the Cannes, Rotterdam, Locarno, Sarajevo, Thessaloniki, Yerevan and Belgrade Film Festivals were among the guests of the reception.
