Born in 1987 in Istanbul. He completed a one-year education on cinematography in 2006 at the FAMU international program in Prague. He graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a BA in film in 2011. He worked in various fields such as short films, documentaries and photography. In 2019, the first feature film he wrote and directed, Bina premiered at the Toronto Film Festival, and won the four awards at the Istanbul Film Festival including the Special Jury Prize and Seyfi Teoman Best Debut Film Award. In 2019-2020, he created and directed the documentary series Saklı Dünyalar / Hidden Worlds, which consists of six episodes. His short films are Ejakülasyon / Ejaculation (2002), Yara İzleri / Scars (2003), Sütun / Column (2005), Fotoroman / Photonovel (2008), Moğolistan / Mongolia (2015).
