Ukraine, near future. The war has ended. A film director is out of work, out of luck, and out of touch with his family abroad. While his wife and daughter built a new life in Vienna, he stays behind—confused, restless, and convinced that things will get better. Eventually. Probably. Maybe. Blurring fiction and autobiography, Ukraininan director Valentyn Vasyanovych, who also plays the lead role, has made a unique film full of irony, comedy, and tragedy on the war that ravaged the country for the fourth year. To the victory! completes Vasyanovych's war-inspired trilogy with Atlantis that won the Golden Tulip in 2020 in Istanbul, and Reflection (2022).
