Relentlessly touring and composing, Italian musician Ezio Bosso created a treasure trove of operas, symphonies, film scores, and concertos. He was a conductor, composer, double bass player and ‘pianist when necessary’ as he loved to refer to himself. When a neurodegenerative illness struck early in his life, he didn’t retreat from the public eye; instead he renewed his commitment to his art and his fans. The film is titled after Bosso’s last message to the public: the unreleased song 'The Things That Remain,' created because, as Ezio said, 'everyone will tell their own story and I can only suggest mine.' In the film the account is entrusted to Bosso himself, who reveals his real self and takes us into his world and his imagination, as if it were a diary, while his accompanying music—his second voice—weaves together testimonials from his friends, family, and collaborators. This film is an inspiring final testament to the incredible professional career of an original and passionate artist.
