Selamet, who has been working at the defunct switchboard of a company on the eve of moving into a large centre, is waiting for his transfer to take place. In the meanwhile, he spends his days listening to the phone calls of people he doesn't even know. Upon discovering his affinity to a stranger on the phone, he tries to make his life similar to hers.
