Film Development Platform, organised within the scope of Meetings on the Bridge, is an annual film development and international pitching platform that welcomes feature-length fiction and documentary projects from filmmakers in Türkiye.

Projects selected for the Film Development Platform are evaluated by a selection committee comprising industry professionals, including experienced local and international directors, producers, screenwriters, distributors, film fund managers, television executives, and sales agents. In the first stage of the platform, the directors, producers, and screenwriters of the selected projects receive comprehensive training from internationally experienced trainers and filmmakers on topics such as script development, pitching, production, marketing, and social media.

In the second stage, participants present their projects internationally for the first time during the Meetings on the Bridge events held annually as part of the Istanbul Film Festival. They also engage in one-on-one meetings with international producers, distributors, festival and fund representatives, and broadcasters, taking their first steps toward collaboration and co-production opportunities. Following the project presentations, awards are granted to selected projects as determined by the Film Development Platform jury. Award winners are announced during the Meetings on the Bridge closing ceremony.

20th Meetings on the Bridge will be held between 15 and 17 April 2025, and the call for submissions for the Film Development Platform is now open. The application deadline is 19 December 2024.
