Born in Karadere village of Kemah, Erzincan. A year after moving to Istanbul in 1954, he started working at the concession stand at Ar Cinemas on İstiklal Street, Beyoğlu. He worked as a manager at the Saray Cinema, which was operated by İş Bank before being taken over by Türker İnanoğlu, with whom he worked for 55 years, and served as the manager of the Kent Cinema after Saray shut down. He has been working as the managing director of the Atlas Cinema for the past 20 years. Only during his military service Pişkin was away from the film community, which he has been a part of for 62 years.
