Born in Ankara in 1944, and raised in Istanbul Nevra Serezli is a stage, film, and TV actress, and a voice artist. She graduated from Arnavutköy American High School for Girls and attended theatre courses at LCC. 

In 1966, she made her professional debut at the Dormen Theatre. In 1967, she participated in theatre festivals in the UK and Italy with the Dormen Theatre. Between 1970 and 1978, she worked with Çevre Theatre, which she established with Altan Erbulak, and her husband Metin Serezli; at Şan Theatre, she acted in a series of popular musical plays; between 1984 and 1989, she worked at Devekuşu Kabare Theatre. In 1990, after working at Dormen Theatre again for a while, she joined the company called Theatre Istanbul. 

She played in numerous films and TV series, and did voice-overs. She made her debut in cinema in 1966 with the film Kara Tren / Black Train, directed by Ülkü Erakalın. She won the Avni Dilligil Most Successful Actress Award and the Ankara Art Association Best Actress Award, also receiving other awards throughout her career such as Ege University Golden Career Award, Kocaeli Film Festival Honorary Award, 9 Eylül University Muhsin Ertuğrul Theatre Labour Award, Sakıp Sabancı Lifetime Achievement Award, İzmir Film Festival Lifetime Achievement Award, Çolpan İlhan Special Award, and Contemporary Journalists Association Uğur Mumcu Memorial Award. 

Her filmography includes The Angel of Vengeance – The Female Hamlet (1976), Ne Olacak Şimdi / What Now (1979), Zübük (1980), Git Başımdan / Go Away, Kılıbık / Henpecked (1983), Metres / Mistress (1983), Atla Gel Şaban (1984), Aşık Oldum / I’m in Love (1985), Kocan Kadar Konuş / The Husband Factor (2015), Oregon (2023). The TV series include Başrolde Aşk / Love as the Lead, Bebek İşi / Piece of Cake, Altın Kızlar / Golden Girls, Sevgili Dünürüm / My Dear In-Law, Sihirli Annem / My Magic Mom, Senin Hikâyen / Your Story. In 2021, she returned to the stage following an 11-year hiatus.
