Istanbul Film Festival Outstanding Contribution to Cinema Award

The first job she had was at ABC Photo Agency. She has been working at Istanbul Film Festival, where she started at a young age, for 40 years. She has also served at other international festivals organised by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts. Supporting social responsibility projects and national and international film festivals in the field of Turkish cinema are among favourite projects she takes on. She studied Tourism and Hotel Management followed by a BA degree in Hospitality Management at Anadolu University. In 2022, at the invitation of Birkbeck, University of London, the Birkbeck Institute for the Moving Image and the Essay Film Festival, she launched the Onat Kutlar Workshop and secured the second edition of this workshop to take place at Istanbul Film Festival in 2024; she continues to work on this project. Also in 2022, she organised the 6th Beautiful Ordu Short Film Festival. From its early years on, she has contributed to the growth and development of the Film Festival Turkey Germany and Flying Broom Women’s Film Festival.
