Born in Nuremberg, Germany, in 1975. He graduated from the Department of Film and TV at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Dokuz Eylül University. As an artist who combines the disciplines of directing and cinematography, he practices a new narrative beyond conventions in his productions. He has achieved national and international success in the fields of film and video art. Jamais Vu (2016), for which he was the sole creative force, won the FIPRESCI Award at the 35th Istanbul Film Festival National Short Film Competition. The documentary Mimaroğlu: The Robinson of Manhattan Island (2020), for which he was the cinematographer, won awards at SİYAD, Antalya Golden Orange and Istanbul Film Festivals. His screenplay Kuzu (A Fairy Tale for Memo) was awarded the Special Jury Prize at the Three Crowns Lesserpoland Film Awards in Poland. He won the Best Director award at the 2012 Antalya TV Awards. Parallel to his cinema projects, he has participated in one solo and two group exhibitions with his photography and video works.
