Born in 1987. He is a filmmaker and producer. He graduated from the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. His directorial debut, Oray, garnered international acclaim and won the Best First Feature Award at the 2019 Berlinale. His feature film Hysteria premiered in the Panorama section of the Berlinale in 2025, where it was awarded the Europa Cinemas Label for Best European Feature Film, and was selected for the Golden Tulip Competition in 2025. In 2020, he co-founded filmfaust GmbH with producer Claus Herzog-Reichel. Since then, the company has produced award-winning feature films and documentaries including Cem Kaya’s Love, Deutschmarks and Death, Immaculata by Kim Lêa Sakkal, which was selected for the Directors’ Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival, and Sirens Call by directing duo Miri Ian Gossing and Lina Sieckmann.
