21st Meetings on the Bridge Film Development Platform selection announced

The 21st Meetings on the Bridge, supported by Anadolu Efes as its main sponsor, will host the Film Development Platform on 14-15-16 April this year.

As part of the Film Development Platform, feature-length fiction and documentary projects from Türkiye will make their first international presentations and hold one-on-one meetings with international industry professionals. Meetings on the Bridge aims to support the international collaborations of the projects selected for the platform.

This year, 103 projects applied to the Film Development Platform. The selection committee, consisting of producer Aslı Filiz, producer and sales representative Denis Krupnov, producer Melanie Blocksdorf, and festival director Tsveta Dobreva, evaluated the applications, selecting 9 projects for the platform.

This year’s selection consists of 7 fiction and 2 documentary projects, including 4 debut features.

In March, the selected project teams will receive comprehensive training from experienced national and international mentors on script development, presentation techniques, pitch deck and film package preparation, film financing, co-production, AI tools in filmmaking, and festival, distribution, and marketing strategies.

The awards to be presented as part of the Film Development Platform will be announced at a later date.
