The unforgettable films of William Friedkin, one of the pioneers of the 'New Hollywood' movement that changed the landscape of American cinema, will be screened at the 42nd Istanbul Film Festival.

This year, the retrospective section of the Istanbul Film Festival is dedicated to William Friedkin, one of the pioneers of the 'New Hollywood' movement of the 1970s with his bold stories, iconic action films and timeless cult works. Friedkin's nine feature films will be screened at the festival within the section titled 'A Rebel In Hollywood.'

The festival invites all moviegoers and Friedkin fans who have not been able to watch the films of the director on the silver screen, including the groundbreaking The Exorcist on its 50th anniversary this year, The French Connection, which includes the best car chase scene in the history of cinema, and the still-controversial crime thriller Cruising.
