The German-Turkish Co-Production Development Fund, established by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein and Meetings on the Bridge, a co-production, training and networking platform organised within the scope of the Istanbul Film Festival, has announced the projects to be granted in 2024.

The German-Turkish Co-Production Development Fund was brought into life in 2011 by Meetings on the Bridge, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg and Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein Film Fund and it aims to support feature-length films from Türkiye and Germany. This year, the fund received applications for the 14th time from Turkish-German co-production feature films in pre-production. After the evaluation, the fund decided to give away its grants to 7 projects.

Selected projects reflect the strong creative collaboration between Turkish and German filmmakers, aiming to encourage intercultural partnerships and bring original stories to the screen. The German-Turkish Co-Production Development Fund stays as an important source that promotes new voices and extends the boundaries of international joint productions.

The fund has supported German-Turkish co-productions with 1,106,000 Euros until now.
