The 45th Istanbul Film Festival will take place from 9 to 19 April 2026. Within the festival, Meetings on the Bridge, with Anadolu Efes as the main supporter, will be held for the 21st time from 14 to 16 April 2026. Continuing to bring together producers, directors and screenwriters from Türkiye with international cinema professionals, the Film Development Platform organised as part of Meetings on the Bridge aims to enhance the production and international co-production opportunities of projects in development from Türkiye.
Feature-length fiction and documentary projects in development are eligible to apply to the Platform. The open call, designed to increase diversity in the selection, invites projects in a wide range of genres and themes, from documentary and animation to horror, fantasy, children’s and comedy films.
The deadline for submissions to the Film Development Platform is 5 December 2025.
