The first Onat Kutlar Workshop, titled 'Onat Kutlar: Cinema is a Feast' held in June 2022 at Birkbeck Institute for the Moving Image, Birkbeck, University of London. Now, we are excited to announce the second workshop, which will take place at Salon IKSV on 22 and 23 April, will be hosted by the 43rd Istanbul Film Festival.

Onat Kutlar, a true pioneer, crafted unique images and a literary space that remains unmatched in Turkish literature since the 1950s. He not only revolutionized Turkish cinema but also explored new socialities. This workshop is a unique opportunity to delve into his cinematic works, short stories, poems, screenplays, and his visionary intellectual perspective. We aim to create a new space of thought and encounter, following in the footsteps of Kutlar, with the participation of leading writers, artists, and academics.
