Adapted by Erick Zonca (The Dreamlife of Angels, The Little Thief) from a novel by Dror Mishani, the screenwriter of the TV series Wisdom of the Crowd, Black Tide is an action packed detective film. Dany, the teenage son of the Arnault family disappears. Upon hearing about this, his former teacher Mr. Bellaile goes to the police and offers to collaborate with the world-weary inspector Visconti. Featuring a strong cast comprising Vincent Cassel, Sandrine Kiberlain, and Romain Duris, Black Tide brings together the genres of detective film and family tragedy through a drug mafia story.
