The Greenaway Alphabet is a candid look at the cinema, artistic point of view, relationships and family life of innovative director Peter Greenaway, who was a guest of the Festival for several times and whose many works from The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover, to Drowning by Numbers and The Night Watch were screened at the Festival. This debut documentary, directed by Greenaway’s multimedia artist wife Saskia Boddeke, starts from the letter A and follows a spontaneous conversation on various topics with his 16 year-old daughter Zoe that encompasses elements which informs his world view and art as it makes its way to the letter Z. Premiered at IDFA, The Greenaway Alphabet is a unique portrait of Greenaway as a world renowned artist and both a father and a spouse who is short on time.
