The latest feature by Karyn Kusama (of Jennifer’s Body and Aeon Flux) is a crime suspense starring Nicole Kidman, who plays Erin, an LAPD detective who needs to return to the case she had worked on years ago when the leader of the gang she had infiltrated resurfaces. Reconstructing the noir genre through a female perspective, Destroyer is already considered one of the best and extraordinary examples of the genre in spite of its low budget but thanks to Kidman who has worked wonders in the lead and surprising screenplay.
