Isabelle Huppert and Chloë Grace Moretz share the leading roles in Irish master Neil Jordan’s new film, anticipated since 2012; moreover, Isabelle Huppert plays the pianist once again. The naive and well-intentioned Frances returns the briefcase she finds in the subway as she should, straight to its owner: Greta. The two women quickly get on and grow close through their losses-one of a husband and the other of a mother. However, Frances is revealed to be a much more dangerous, obsessive person than she would seem at first glance. Premiered in Toronto, Greta is a powerful psychological thriller with elements of suspense characteristic to Neil Jordan, recipient of the Istanbul Film Festival’s Cinema Honorary Award.
This film was a Meetings on the Bridge participant.
