Şükran’s tragicomic story begins with an accident she has when she was 10, and continues as she has to master her still young life with a stiff leg. But she doesn't let this get her down, dreaming of love, physical closeness, and warmth, although something or someone constantly gets in her way. Opposite or same sex, Şükran will be frustrated, and falter again. Her desperation in communicating with others is akin to ours as viewers.
