This documentary is about Göbeklitepe, which is on the agenda of the world. ‘How did it come about?’, ‘Did the locals contribute to the discovery of Göbeklitepe?’ ‘Did it affect local people in changing their lives or beliefs?’ or ‘Are the locals not aware of what is going on in Göbeklitepe?’ The documentary tries to answer these questions through the life of Mahmut Yıldız, who is known as ‘Sofi’. Owner of a plot of land where Göbeklitepe was discovered, Yıldız is a 65-year-old man who worked first as a worker and then a guard in Göbeklitepe since the first excavations.
