Adapted from Mehmet Eroğlu’s novel, 9,75 tells the tale of Ahmet, a writer stuck between the East and the West of Turkey, whose tragic life story is akin to those in the books by Kemalettin Tuğcu. In 2013, after being informed that he has a brain tumour, Ahmet meets the love of his life, Serap, while on the other hand, he tries to bring back the recollections of his time with Zinar, whom he had met in the 1990s during his military service in southeastern Turkey. Focused on completing the novel he’s been working on before his surgery, Ahmet is nevertheless haunted by his love, his past, and the relentless will to write. He will eventually have to confront his biggest fear at a dark impasse where love, death, and his painful past intersect.
