2021 Berlin Silver Bear Best Supporting Performance (Lilla Kizlinger)

Bringing the acting award to Lilla Kizlinger at the 2021 Berlin Film Festival where it premiered, Forest – I See You Everywhere is set over one night in various apartments and tells seven hypnotic stories that become increasingly intense until they culminate in a psychological kaleidoscope. A silent grandfather, ghost-like people, a murderous charlatan: sometimes shocking but always mysterious characters engage in connecting dialogues which construct the backbone of these stories–– intriguing but challenging, woven into their beings like a flawless spider‘s web, confrontational, resistant, and wearisome… The film‘s brilliant cast of non-pofessional actors include Fliegauf‘s young son Janos, while part of the music is scored by Fliegauf himself, who had won the Human Rights in Cinema Prize at Istanbul Film Festival in 2012 with Csak a szél / Just the Wind.
