Francis Ford Coppola’s granddaughter Gia Coppola maintains the success of her debut Palo Alto with her second feature Mainstream, a biting satire of social media fame. With a dazzling cast, Mainstream follows three friends as they first rise fast to internet stardom with their anti-capitalist and extreme expressions and their subsequent self-reflection. Co-written by Coppola and Tom Stuart, who acted in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and the series Out of Her Mind, Mainstream premiered at the Horizons section of the Venice Film Festival. The soundtrack was composed by Dev Hynes, aka Blood Orange.
