Morning Prayers, which Kotzamani shot together with Katarina Stankovic for the Sarajevo Film Festival, starts in a nightclub. Masterful camera work swirling around the characters, natural dialogues and expert use of space all contribute to giving the audience to feel the sparks flying between the two youngsters. After this sequence that grasps very fine emotional nuances, a sharp turn takes the observer to a distinctly disparate place, to tracks of stories scattered across the city. Occupying a particular place in Kotzamani’s filmography, this short depiction of human encounters leaves an emotional impression by no means comparable to its length.
