A mysterious tribe from the Amazon rainforest... A young and naive anthropology researcher, who goes on an expedition to get away from the grip of his ultra-possessive mother... A control freak, ethnologist mother hated by the profession... Soon enough, it turns out the “good savages” are actually alcoholic and crooked; and the worried mother, consumed by remorse, decides to abandon her own expedition and goes looking for her son in the jungle, with the help of a band of mercenaries. Catherine Deneuve as the ice-hearted ethnologist once more proves that she is a brilliant actress even in a comedy set in a rainforest.
