2021 Istanbul Special Jury Prize (in memory of Onat Kutlar)

A wooden statue of Lenin is washed onto the shore of a small coastal town. It is erected in the town square by the Municipality with the hope that it would attract tourists. When the event becomes a news topic in the country, an official opening ceremony is planned with the participation of the Prime Minister and a Russian delegation. A day before the grand opening, the statue is stolen. Experienced and tough police investigator, Erol, and the young investigator Ufuk, who is a meticulous listener for details, are specially assigned from Ankara for the case, and they have only twelve hours to find Lenin. As the evidence spotted at the crime scene opens a path to the town’s past, townspeople give an unexpected answer to the question “Where is Lenin?”
