Poland, 1983. The country is shaken by the case of Grzegorz Przemyk – a high school student beaten to death by militia. Based on true events, the film follows the story of Jurek – the only witness of the beating, who overnight became the number one enemy of the state. The blatant injustice mobilizes the masses in protest of the oppressive regime trying to downplay the incident and use its whole apparatus – the secret service, militia, the media and the courts – to squeeze Jurek and other people close to the case. Inspired by Cezary Łazarewicz’s book Leave No Traces. The Case of Grzegorz Przemyk, Leave No Traces was selected to compete for the Golden Lion at the 2021 Venice Film Festival was the Polish entry for the Best International Feature Film at the Oscars.

This film is screened with the generous support of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Istanbul.

This film was a Meetings on the Bridge participant.
