Rose, 78-year-old, has just lost her husband. When her grief gives way to a powerful impulse to live her life, making her realise that she can still redefine herself as a woman, the whole balance of the family is upset. French indie pop icon Aurélie Saada (of the musical duo Brigitte) makes her feature film debut with Rose, an inspiring portrait of a woman about love, life and family starring French icon Françoise Fabian (My Night at Maud’s, Me Myself & Mum, The Thief of Paris). ‘Rose is the story of an intimate revolution, that of a 78-year-old woman who, after losing her beloved husband, discovers herself and realises that she is not only a mother, a grandmother and a widow, but also a woman, and that she has every right to enjoy and to desire until the end of her days,’ says Aurélie Saada who has also composed the score of the film.

This film was a Meetings on the Bridge participant.
