Starring the amazing lead actor of Aftersun, Paul Mescal, and Emily Watson as his mother, God’s Creatures world premiered within the Directors’ Fortnight section at Cannes Film Festival and was later the opening film of the Dublin Film Festival. The devastating drama focuses on secrets and lies in a quiet fishing village on the north-west coast of Ireland. God’s Creatures follows a mother torn between protecting her beloved son and her own sense of right and wrong. A lie she tells for him when he suddenly returns home after living abroad for seven years rips apart their family and close-knit community in this tense, sweepingly emotional epic.
