Anchored in a unique, toxic-male Western setting Animale is an unforgettable and blazingly confident supernatural fable that blends with the classic body horror, and the revenge thriller – a story of community, betrayal, rebellion, denial and self-acceptance. The second fiction feature by Emma Benestan that follows Fragile (2021) was screened as the closing film of Critics’ Week at Cannes.
