Beware of Children explores the complexities of guilt, grief, and the fragility of societal structures through the consequences of the death of a child at school. The daughter of a prominent politician is accused of causing the death of her classmate. As the community grapples with the tragedy, the incident exposes hidden relationships, deep-seated prejudices, and the fragility of the social fabric. Norwegian auteur Haugerud, known for his observational and precise style, masterfully weaves together the personal and the political, draws a diverse picture of a society in which adults and children live close together but remain in their own worlds.
