Director Pilar Palomero is back with her third feature film – a moving story about family relationships. Based on the short story ‘Bihotz handiegia / A Heart Too Big’ by Basque writer Eider Rodríguez, the film digs into the complexities of our interconnections, offering a reflection on the traces that we leave behind and that make us who we are. Glimmers follows Isabel as her life takes an unexpected turn the day her daughter asks her to pay regular visits to Ramón, her ex-husband, who is ill. After fifteen years apart, and even though they were family for years, Isabel sees him as a stranger and begins to rekindle resentments she thought she had overcome. Nevertheless, accompanying Ramón at his most vulnerable will allow Isabel to see their past and her future with different eyes.
