Homegrown is a verité portrait of a fractured America, offering an unprecedented look at right-wing activists as they search for purpose and power. Homegrown follows three impassioned men, as they campaign for Donald Trump during summer 2020, through the 2020 election, and eventually as they take part in the storm on the Capitol on January 6, 2021. In retrospect following the latest elections in November 2024, Homegrown is an enlightening documentary that provides a disturbing insight into the milieu of the 21st century US politics. Director Michael Premo is a journalist, filmmaker, and artist.
