At this exclusive overnight concert in 2018, audiences were invited to fall asleep on camp beds at Los Angeles’ Grand Park. The film also includes footage from Berlin, New York and Paris, enabling us to delve beyond the work and the performance to explore Richter’s legacy, exploring his life and process. ’Sleep is my personal lullaby for a frenetic world – a manifesto for a slower pace of existence,’ says Max Richter who has redefined classical music by blending electronic sounds with contemporary techniques.
