Shakespeare’s tragedy Richard III retold: two noble houses, the Arab families of York and Lancaster, bring the war that has been raging for years on the streets of Berlin to an end. After a bloody gang war in Berlin, Rashida, the youngest daughter of the victorious Arab clan begins to plot against the men of her family. She does not intend to obey; she intends to rule. To claim the crown, she must scheme, kills brothers, nephews, friends and enemies, until she is the undisputed boss of the Berlin underworld. But in her path to the top, she has made powerful enemies. Rashida is the ruler of a kingdom made of dirt and dust. Burhan Qurbani’s recent feature No Beast. So Fierce. had its world premiere at Berlinale.
