A close friend of Peaches, Marie Losier is a celebrated filmmaker known for a number of film portraits on avant-garde directors, musicians and composers, which are poetic, dreamlike and unconventional. ’In Peaches Goes Bananas, I painted the portrait of a woman and, more importantly, an artist with whom I identify on several levels. I am touched by her perseverance and her tireless energy to experiment and place her body at the center of her art with great beauty and freedom.’
