While he excels at pretending to be someone else every day, just being himself is the real challenge, though. Having its premiere at Venice Film Festival’s Critics’ Week section, Peacock is a superb black comedy that tells the tragedy of a ridiculous man. For his debut feature, Bernhard Wenger says: ’Humour only works when tragedy is present. The basic problem of someone who can’t feel real emotions is actually more of a tragic one.’
