The true story of Ahlam, a 14-year-old child mother who fled Iraq, driven by a desire for freedom. The narrator recounts her memories in a metaphorical journey through the heart of an airport, where dreams and ghosts of the past mingle, and lurking shadows fight to steal her dream of freedom. The animated documentary Shadows premiered at the 2024 Venice Film Festival.
