Colder than ice, her kiss pierces the heart… Andersen’s famous fairy tale finds a new icy star that has shone with an award at the Berlinale. The 1970s. Sixteen-year-old runaway Jeanne falls under the spell of Cristina, the enigmatic star of The Snow Queen, a film being shot in the studio where she has taken refuge. A mutual fascination grows between the actress and the girl as set and screen, film and reality also intermingle. The latest feature by Lucile Hadžihalilović, who has won the Public Award with Innocence at Istanbul Film Festival in 2005 (which starred Marion Cotillard as well), brings together a stellar cast that includes Gaspar Noé.
