Co-written by director Pedro Martín-Calero and Isabel Peña (As bestas / The Beasts) The Wailing is a deep-set, cross-generational, terrorizing, materialized, novel, blood-chilling horror. Three young women, apparently unrelated, separated by decades and thousands of miles, are being haunted by a mysterious evil entity that is not even visible to them. Andrea; Marie, twenty years ago; and Camila face this oppressive threat, and all three hear the same thing: a horrible wailing. Elite star Ester Expósito as Andrea in the debut film of director Pedro Martín-Calero, who initially made a name for himself as a director in the advertising industry, and has directed music videos for artists like Hinds and The Weeknd.
