Istanbul’s electronic music scene is one of the most vibrant in the world. Located in the heart of a troubled region, the architects of this underground culture have been struggling for 40 years to build a culture of freedom, self-expression, and tolerance. This documentary takes us on a journey from the emergence of dance clubs in the late 80s to Istanbul’s rise as a dance destination alongside Berlin and Amsterdam.
