World Premiere

In Stefan, on the ancient shores of the Black Sea, time is tightening. Musician Şerafettin, who re-settled in his village for peace, is shaken by the roar of dynamite, the explosions cracking the walls of the house he built with his own hands. The seven-day cycle of the boat Hızır7 – the film’s namesake – captures a struggle for survival, the community’s resistance against fish farms, and an ecosystem’s silent cry. In this chronicle, built up on nature’s own primal, untouched rhythm, the tension between man, nature, and capital transforms into an existential story: ‘We came from nature, and to nature we shall return.’
