Bloody mayhem unwinds in this crime thriller as dark as Fargo directed by English filmmaker Ben Wheatley (Kill List, High-Rise, In the Earth) and co-written by Derek Kolstad (the creator of the John Wick franchise,) and Breaking Bad’s Bob Odenkirk. Normal follows Ulysses, a provisional sheriff who has taken on the duty following the previous one’s untimely death in the small town of Normal. Arriving in the town, Ulysses’ investigations push him against his constituents when the exposure of a small town’s sordid secret sparks a rip-roaring firefight. Normal premiered in the Midnight Madness program at Toronto.
