We can hear the voice of life in the roar of the waves, the breath of the air, the drifting clouds, the lonely cry of the birds. But this requires a demand from the heart and that deep inner turmoil that nature provokes. With everything they’ve got, a couple throws themselves into a sailing race that lasts several days and nights on a large lake, ready to confront what the nature might impose. Fabrice Aragno, Jean-Luc Godard’s cinematographer, presents the audience with a unique hypnotic, sensorial and visual experience that features an immersive sound design but barely any dialogue, chronicling the push of humans through and sometimes against the elements of nature.
This film was a Meetings on the Bridge participant.
