Different Approaches to Truth in Documentary Film Production
Arash T. Riahi will examine the cinematic and ethical acceptability of truth, starting from the idea of how controllable and plannable events can be before they take place. He will also discuss the process of defining the narrative form of each project through different dramaturgical approaches, compare subgenres and classic documentaries, and explore topics such as writing in documentaries, the role of research, and the influence of fiction films on documentaries.
