As part of the 45th Istanbul Film Festival, the New Perspectives section, open to directors presenting their first or second films, brings together 13 national feature films, supporting emerging filmmakers and increasing the visibility of new work. The festival continues the initiative it launched last year by inviting a young cinema student to join the New Perspectives jury once again this year.

The jury, which will present the Seyfi Teoman Award to the best film, comprises director Mehmet Akif Büyükatalay, actor Murat Kılıç, cinematographer Meryem Yavuz, producer Soner Alper and Bahçeşehir University student Meltem Naz Salduz.
