Organised by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) as part of the Istanbul Film Festival, Meetings on the Bridge will bring together film professionals for the 22nd time from 14 to 16 April 2027. Applications are now open for the Film Development Platform and Short Film Workshop, held as part of Meetings on the Bridge. Aiming to support film production in Türkiye, provide filmmakers with a creative environment to develop their projects, and strengthen international co-productions, Meetings on the Bridge will accept applications until Thursday, 26 November 2026 at 18.00.

The Film Development Platform, which is open to feature-length projects in development, offers directors and producers the opportunity to present their projects to international industry professionals and explore co-production opportunities. Feature-length fiction or documentary film projects with a planned running time of at least 60 minutes, in which a production company from Türkiye is involved as a producer or co-producer, are eligible to apply. A maximum of 10 projects will be selected to participate in the platform following an evaluation by the selection committee.

Aiming to support the development of short film projects, the Short Film Workshop is open to short narrative or documentary projects with a maximum planned duration of 20 minutes, produced or co-produced by a production company based in Türkiye. Up to four projects will be selected for the workshop, which will involve an intensive training and preparation process.

Following the training programme conducted with international film professionals and experts across both platforms, project teams will hold one-on-one meetings with international producers, distributors, festival and fund representatives during Meetings on the Bridge from 14 to 16 April 2027. The projects receiving awards will be announced at the Meetings on the Bridge closing ceremony on 16 April 2027.

Application Deadline: 26 November 2026, 18:00 (Istanbul time, UTC+3)
