Work in Progress Platform, organised as part of the Meetings on the Bridge, is held annually to support feature-length films and documentaries in post-production from Türkiye.

The directors and producers of the films selected for the Work in Progress Platform first receive training in pitching, sales and festival strategy for feature films from internationally experienced trainers and filmmakers.

In the second phase, participants present their films to industry professionals, including distributors, festival and fund managers, and media representatives, during the Meetings on the Bridge events held as part of the Istanbul Film Festival. Following presentations, participants have the opportunity to engage in one-on-one meetings with industry professionals, creating potential for new collaborations in the post-production phase of their projects.

After the project presentations, various awards are granted to selected projects by the Work in Progress Platform jury. The award winners are announced at the Meetings on the Bridge closing ceremony.

Applications are now open for the Work in Progress Platform of the 21st Meetings on the Bridge, which will take place on 14–16 April 2026. The application deadline is 26 January 2026. Click here for more information.
